#100daysofhappiness: Day 99 and 100

FINALLY, the LAST #100daysofhappiness post!

I love getting to enjoy a cup of coffee on our front porch.  PS have I said how much I really just love Tervis Tumblers?

And for my last picture I leave you with a John Lennon quote.  Happiness if what you should strive for in life and while life is tough you can find small miracle and goodness in the everyday things!

While this experience has been so much fun challenge it has been hard to remember to stop and take pictures all the time! I am ready to get back to regular updates and posts!

#100daysofhappiness: Day 5

I promise a blog other than “100daysofhappiness” is coming soon! But in the mean time here is my Day 5!

My husband is a CPA so he is in “busy season”. AKA I hardly see him :(.

Well tonight Grey’s Anatomy comes on so I am treating myself to a glass of red wine! YUM-O!

“You can’t deny laughter; when it comes, it plops down in your favorite chair and stays as long as it wants.” Stephen King

We recently moved into a new house and have been working to fill this new house.  I have enjoyed seeing our decor move and change from our old house to the new.  One of my favorite areas that I have done is this little space that has a pop of turquoise.

This tranquil area is great for reading, blogging, relaxing or to kick back and watch the 70″ BIG screen that we have…. See you can mix his a hers in one room!

One of my favorite decor tips is to take book slipcovers off old books around the house and use them to help create height and depth when decorating.

Also, don’t be afraid to shop around at sales and see what will work and return things that don’t work!

Pinterest Challenge: SINK OR SWIM… in the bathtub

Hi, my name is Lauren and I am a bathoholic.

I could take a hot bath everyday even during those long hot Texas summers. I love taking time to relax and just having some time to myself.  Sometimes my date to my bath is a glass of wine, other times it is my iPad and some Netflix.

I had looked all around Pinterest one day to find a good detox bath.  Of course I wanted to take one that night so I needed to find ingredients that I already had… my lazy butt need not to make a run to the store!

I came across this Pin —-> HERE

Which lead to me this blog:  sunshinesouthern.wordpress.com

So off I went to hunt down my ingredients:

Baking Soda: CHECK

Epsom Salt: CHECK

Green Tea Bags: CHECK

I took the detox bath and really did enjoy it! Side note: the green tea makes the bath water look like you peed ALOT in it but OH WELL!

I didn’t feel dizzy in the bath but when I got up and was drying off WHOA hello headache.  BUT it went away quickly.  I really like how the detox made my skin feel and it was UBER relaxing so I feel like I will do it again.  I may continue to adventure and try new ones but I would say this Pinterest Challenge was a success!

What detox baths do you like best?
